GENERAL QUESTIONS
We develop, produce, fill and regulate (approve) cosmetic liquids.
Here we differentiate between goods that are to be developed specifically to your wishes and already developed finished goods.
Although we do not produce primary packaging such as jars or secondary packaging such as folding boxes ourselves, we can provide you with intensive support in this matter together with our partners and take over the entire process.
How do I select the right packaging material (jars, dispensers etc.)?
The print run is a decisive factor for the choice of packaging material. In general, the higher the degree of individualisation and finishing, the higher the minimum purchase. But even standard packaging materials with low minimum order quantities can be individualised by means of high-quality labelling. We will be happy to help you with advice and support in choosing the right packaging material.
How is the product filled?
As a full service provider, we fill most product types ourselves (except tubes and sachets) in our Plant II near Munich. Runs of up to 5,000 pcs. are filled semi-automatically, runs of 5,000 pcs. and more are filled fully automatically. In general, we can fill all primary packaging sizes.
How much does the bottling cost?
The costs of filling depend on the circulation and the filling quantity. On average a filling costs about 20 cents per unit.
What other costs will be charged?
Here, too, the costs always depend on the size of the print run. Batch coding costs about 6 cents per unit. Labelling costs approx. 20 cents per product. The packing into a folding box behaves similarly. The freight costs are normally at your expense.
Can finished goods and packaging materials be stored?
In general, this is possible. Here monthly costs per pallet location are charged.
Can goods also be sent to end customers?
The dispatch to the end customer is usually not carried out by us.
PRIVATE LABEL / INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENTS
The process of developing a cosmetic product is usually divided into several steps: In the first step, we work with you to define the core aspects and possible unique selling points of the upcoming product series. The following details are clarified (depending on the type):
Definition of the killer claims (main characteristics to be promoted) and ingredients to be aimed for on the product side. Plausibility check of the defined ingredients. Production of a variable number of samples on semi-automated laboratory process reactors up to the final release candidate and customer approval (variable dispatch of samples to the customer, co-dispatch of INCI lists and other reports as required). Requested parameters (non-representative): Heat stress tests (40 °C, 50 °C), cold stress tests (6 °C, -16 °C), rocking stress tests (cyclic tests to maintain long-term stability and to avoid segregation phenomena such as aggregation / flocculation, coalescence and sedimentation / creaming at -5 °C to 50 °C in 24 h intervals to determine the expected minimum shelf life), centrifugal force field stress tests [1/min], microbiology [kbE], microscopy, drop size distribution, viscosity [mPas], pH value, density [g/ccm].
This is followed by the production of one or more validation batches to determine the process parameters for general series production:
Transfer of laboratory process reactor formulations and data to scaling machines for series production and adaptation until defined stability parameters are achieved. Nominal standardization and transfer in the manufacturing instruction for the conversion of process parameters to large-scale production machines (in-house and third-party machines).
The regulatory obligations are fulfilled on the basis of the data obtained in both steps. The resulting product information file (PID) contains all product-relevant data and is transferred to you:
PID/PIF product information data according to EC/1223/2009 and DIN EN ISO 22716 (Cosmetics Regulation).
The development of a product until it is ready for the market and the associated preparation of all regulatory documents costs approx. 4,500 €, depending on the complexity of the product. The duration of a development is usually 10-12 weeks.
Our group of companies and our partners are able to fill every conceivable packaging material (jar, tube, dispenser, sachet, vial, ampoule). We would be pleased to support you, together with packaging manufacturers closely associated with us, in the selection process and then take over the complete handling. After successful selection of the primary packaging material, an inertness test (product-packaging material compatibility test) of this packaging material with the developed liquids should be carried out. This applies to both classic packaging materials and sachets.
If a paper-based secondary packaging (folding box, package insert, etc.) is required, we will be happy to assist you in selecting a suitable printing partner.
Production of the serial bulk (bulk goods): The minimum purchase quantity of liquid per type (for individually developed products) starts at 2 kg.
Filling and packaging up to the final product: We fill the liquid ket into the primary packaging material selected by you and optionally package it into a secondary packaging material and prepare it for dispatch.
WHITE LABEL PRODUCTS / FINISHED GOODS
Do you want to launch a cosmetics line on the market or expand your existing line without incurring the costs and time required for product development? Then white label products are the right choice. We offer a wide range of already developed and validated cosmetic products, which you can adapt to the needs of your brand via add-ons.
For creams, lotions, gels and serums, the minimum purchase is generally 50 kg.
At best, use our finished goods, our project questionnaire or contact us directly.
